Bojack Sanchez

A surreal split portrait merging two of the most brilliantly damaged characters in animation: BoJack Horseman and Rick Sanchez.
On the left side, the washed-up, self-destructive former sitcom star drowning in depression and cosmic emptiness.
And on the right side is the alcoholic, nihilistic mad scientist who runs from his feelings through portals and chaos.
I wanted to capture the shared energy of these two icons: brilliant minds, endless trauma, dark humor, and that constant feeling of “nothing matters, but I’ll keep going anyway.” The contrast between the starry void and the swirling green portal perfectly reflects their chaotic inner worlds.
Drawn with love for both shows and the messy, hilarious, heartbreaking characters they gave us.
Sometimes the mirror shows you both a horse and a mad scientist at the same time.
