A second portrait of the same person, approached with a more stylized and graphic direction. The focus shifted from soft realism to simplified forms, using color blocking and angular shapes to define structure and light.
While the likeness is still present, the goal here was interpretation rather than replication, reducing details to their essential forms while keeping the subject’s presence intact.
Same face, different language.
This time I wasn’t chasing realism as much; I let the shapes take over a bit more. It feels less like observing and more like interpreting, like I finally understood something I couldn’t see the first time.
